I worked at SA Power Networks full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Good wages and some flexibility.

    Cons

The bullying, discrimination and old style management are all too common in SA Power Networks. A lot of managers are obsessed with power and too busy kissing up above to care about their teams or treat them with dignity or respect. To make this worse upper management don't do anythinh to address this serious pervasive problem and SA Power Networks needs to give much more consideration when putting people in leadership positions, a poor decision seripusly brings down a department in morale and performance. Stop protecting the abusers.

I worked at SA Power Networks full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Salaries are well above market rates, organisation wide. If you are highly driven by $$$ and enjoy banging your head against a brick wall , then this would be your ideal workplace.

    Cons

Lots of high paid Fat Cats scratching each others backs and lining each others pockets! No accountability, and the bureaucracy is the worst I have ever seen. This clumsy giant knows nothing about the real world or how contemporary businesses operate. Everything happens painfully slowly, and all the fat cats continue to maintain their important positions by insisting on signing off on anything and everything so they can look busy. Too many meetings about absolutely nothing. So much inefficiency, and no service philosophy. Ever wondered why your power bills are so high? Well now you know.
