Pros
There were kind and intelligent people I worked with on my team but who generally ended up becoming disenchanted with the company and moved on or were let go.
Cons
- Benefits are awful. The health insurance is the worst coverage that I have had in my years of employment and each enrollment season they somehow managed to make it even worse. There is no retirement/401k matching which is almost unheard of these days in the corporate world and is a huge benefit you are forgoing if you work here. Lastly, the PTO is also one of the lowest I have ever come across. -There is absolutely no structure in place for employee evaluation and growth. There are no check-ins or reviews with managers, no rubric for how you are measured, or steps to promotion. You will virtually stay in the position you were hired into until they fire you or you quit. The only people who are evaluated are those with revenue roles, and they are only evaluated on $$ quotas. -The company is completely top-down with constant changes and restructuring coming from executives and no input from employees alongside very little communication/reasoning. These lead to frequent lay-offs (every few months). They do not introduce new hires, announce departures, or encourage speaking between departments. The entire time I was there I barely knew the names or roles of anyone at the company that I did not work with every day (and the company was very small). The entire atmosphere of the company is one of desperation and chaotic/frenetic energy to sell the product and keep investors happy. - The last point I will make is the jarring lack of diversity. A ballpark I would give is about 80% of the company being white, middle-aged males. This is extremely concerning for a company whose work is done mostly in places that serve people of color, marginalized communities, and non-English speakers.
