Pros

Good employee discount and decent benefits.

Cons

Working at STAUD was a disappointing and frustrating experience. The upper management displayed unprofessional behavior, which created a toxic work environment. There was a severe lack of transparency and effective communication, making it challenging to understand the company's direction and goals. Additionally, the workload was unmanageable, with unrealistic expectations and constant pressure. The company showed little support for professional growth, and opportunities for advancement were limited. The company culture was a highly cliquey environment filled with excessive drama, which originated from the top-down. This toxic dynamic created divisions and hindered productivity, as favoritism, exclusion, and unnecessary conflicts became prevalent. Consequently, collaboration and overall team cohesion were impeded, making it challenging to foster a positive and supportive work atmosphere.

Still scarred and extremely disappointed by the experience I had.

Pros

Very beautiful and inspiring collections.

Cons

The worst management I’ve ever experienced. A horribly toxic environment. Ridiculously and uncomfortably rude to internal team members and vendors. Every meeting was uncomfortable and felt like walking on eggshells. At first I thought it could have been isolated to my department, but in cross-dept meetings the energy was the same leading me to believe it was a top - down issue. I was poached from a comfortable position at another brand and misled into what I was getting into and honestly it was the biggest mistake of my career. I worked no less than 12 hrs a day every day and nothing was ever good enough despite my efforts against their complete inability to effectively communicate in any level. I was rarely if ever acknowledged for any wins but often blamed for things not in my control. Not too mention I would watch my own manager whisper behind my back obviously talking badly about me to the president (and everyone else in the company - and about everyone else in the company) while talking down to me in private and insulting my work at every turn. I cried so much I had old colleagues telling me they would pay me to quit and others apologizing for not being able to warn me before accepting the offer. Save yourself. Don’t work here. You deserve better.

Pros

Clothing allowance and discount (which most fashion companies offer) Dog friendly office (it's a pro until the president's dog pees everywhere and you have to clean it up) Some good people working at lower levels in the company to keep you sane

Cons

Subpar and overpriced healthcare benefits. It's the bare minimum of what can qualify as benefits. Upper management and CEO are so clueless as to how to properly run and support a team in this industry. The way they handled the pandemic was abysmal. No performance reviews and therefore no raises or bonuses given (although they did ask for you to provide yearly goals to them still) A constant rotating array of people coming and going, because they can't be bothered to show a basic level of appreciation for anyone's hard work. For a company doing as well as they are, you would expect a lot more going back into supporting their staff and ensuring they have the tools to be successful at their jobs-- but they could care less about how you get things done.. they just want it done fast and cheap. Constant new projects and initiatives thrown at you with very little turn around time. Honestly shocked there aren't more reviews on here, but I think by the time most people leave they're just so entirely drained and apathetic about the entire company and experience. Good riddance!
