Pros
- Loads to learn. - A good starting point for freshers. - Projects are self-driven. - Appreciation and recognition for the work done. - New ideas are sometimes picked up to go live. - Work-life balance is good since there isn't much pressure. Unless you are in customer support you won't be disturbed on holidays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Cons
- Salary is too low compared to the amount of work expected. - Stringent on 9 hours a day work. - Work from home is available only to favourite employees and others are not even considered how much ever sensible their reason is. - Breaks are monitored to the last minute. Even a 5 minutes extra break time will result in you meeting with the HR. - Leaves are hard to come by. They allow a total of 12 paid leaves a year however, the HR will interrogate you incessantly if you want to take a leave. - Compulsory to sit on your desk and work. Sofas and break rooms are simply for show. - The office environment can be sexist at times. Female employees are often overlooked for promotions or collaborative project efforts. - Half the staff (Customer support) is scheduled to work even on holidays with no overtime pay or compensatory off. - The work can get boring very quickly unless you do not innovate yourself. - Any mistake will directly result in you getting reprimanded on a company-wide announcement. - You will have to compulsorily sit in the office till 6pm even if you are done with your day's work at 2pm.
