Cliquey Bullying Everything is revolved around the CEO There is no company culture as there is no money The constant sucking up to the CEO gets draining, if you dont do this, you basically will not excel in your career at Showpo The people who suck up to her the most and excel in their career, then best friends with her, COINCIDENCE? Well below average salaries No career progression Open meeting rooms where you are spoken about in front of your peers More than 20+ people have quit, been made redundant or asked to leave in the past year Everything is fake that is put on social media about Showpo, Do not believe anything you see on how the company is run The company is run by one "popular" girl, her boyfriend and her minions

Pros

I met some amazing people on my direct team at Showpo. They provided me a great deal of support during my time there. Sadly, this is the only positive take away I have.

Cons

Despite having worked for 10+ years in the fast paced and highly stressful Australian fashion industry, I have never seen such a strained and exhausted workplace. To say this is simply a "fast paced" environment where by you must "keep pace or deal with changing priorities" shows upper managements blatant disregard for the welfare of it's employees. This speaks volumes of Showpo's inability to address serious issues with it's management and structure. Put simply, if you'd like to work the job of multiple people, this the place for you! I observed an incredibly high level of staff turn over. Each week more and more would leave, with management very slow to replace. Personally, it felt as though their strategy was to simply get as much as they could out of each staff member knowing we would inevitably move on. My discussions with HR fell on deaf ears. Not a single action was taken to address any concerns I raised prior to my resignation. I know this was also the case for many of my colleagues as well. Based on my previous experience in the industry, my financial compensation was below the industry standard. Again, management made this a very difficult issue for me to address with them in the lead up to my resignation.

Pros

Great location and you can have drinks at the office

Cons

The company as a whole has no no idea who they are as a brand and execs hardly ever know what they are doing. It’s super hard to work your way up in a role if you don’t get in with the “cool” people, so you have to kiss up to people 24/7. There is a huge lack in job security, even if you work your butt off the whole time you’re there.
