Pros

You learn how to cold call

Cons

I watched a dozen people get hired and fired from SkyView over the course of a year. The boss hasn't a clue what he is doing.

Pros

Met some amazing people working here

Cons

Vastly underpaid for the job I performed due to the cheap nature and selfishness of the owner. The owner micromanages every employee and is very hard to reason with. The turnover is extroadinarily high due to the owners mentality of "I'll just hire someone else to come in and put more money in my pocket." Very rarely did any employee feel appreciated working here.

Thank you for your feedback. It’s disappointing to learn that you felt you were underpaid and unappreciated. At SkyView, we strive to ensure each team member’s role is meticulously defined, so that all team members are aware of, and appreciate, the contributions of their fellow team members. Our regular company feedback sessions are designed to encourage 360-degree honest feedback, and help us create a transparent professional environment. Our process depends on each team member successfully filling their role and when a cog in the wheel is missing or malfunctioning, the entire team feels the increased operational pressure. Our desire is to create an empowering work environment where each team member has the opportunity to showcase their strengths to an appreciative team.

Pros

Opportunity to learn about the commercial real estate transaction process.

Cons

Over roughly the last year-and-a-half, the operations team experienced 100% turnover. The CEO likes to say that he needs the "Right people in the Right seats" to explain SkyView's revolving door. However, that's a poor excuse for his lack of leadership and his miserly tendencies. SkyView has had some extremely talented people on the Ops team that gave the company incredible value. Nonetheless, they were still paid well below the market rate for their positions, If you are good at your job, he will "promote" you by slapping a Senior onto your job title and giving you more responsibilities, while keeping compensation the same. While the CEO is a great salesman, he lacks empathy and professionalism. Get everything in writing - he has selective amnesia when it comes to his verbal commitments.
