      Fabulous product and experience, major culture changes after SFDC acquisition

      Working at Slack exceeded expectations in the form of great people, great product and thoughtful culture and operations

      Cons

      The Salesforce acquisition majorly changed Slack’s culture and foretold the exit of a number of key leaders. The Slack product was more difficult to tell once the Slack teams were considered part of the Salesforce extended team.

      Amazing product, best on the market and really fun to sell!

      Cons

      Salesforce got in and literally destroyed the culture, the roadmap of the product and just made Slack into one of their toy offerings. Nobody really cares about their job or their impact, it just became a product inside an 80K employee company! Now Salesforce Core AEs are just trying to slide some Slack into their proposals not even knowing how to actually use the product or sell on the value - just what the Microsoft, Oracle and Salesforce do. Just heads up, for the people looking into Slack, you are not going to be working at Slack, you are going to be working at Salesforce!

      Still some great people left at the company and a truly exceptional product.

      Culture has complete shifted; more and more SF leadership are taking over and killing what was once probably the best place to work.
