Pros

- You can work the hours and days you want to - Take off whenever you want - No hand holding, no meetings - Learn a lot on your own

Cons

- Can be difficult when starting out - Truly remote (no mandatory zoom meetings, no constant chatting, no meetups). But to me this is a plus - Pay could be higher

Pros

I worked at a lot of companies that claim to do agile but actually do a convoluted waterfall with agile terms sprinkled in. This can cause a lot of stress. At Soflyy, no one claims we do agile, but as long as you are good at what you do, you have the freedom to find the best solutions without a lot of hand-holding or pressure. It's a great work environment if you like challenges. I love that the management invests in all the tools you need to do your job, and provides access to industry conferences like WordCamp. It's a great opportunity to connect with the team and other WordPress developers.

Cons

It can get lonely at times, but I think that is true for most remote jobs.

Pros

It's about getting the job done. You log in, work on whatever is your priority, log out and forget about it until you choose to log in again. You work when you want to and stop when you want to. If you're going to be away, you put that in the calendar, you don't need to ask permission to have time off. You're part of a tightknit team and people will count on you to do your part. If you slack and let the team down, then you will likely not be on the team any longer. I saw another reviewer said the below - I was going to rewrite it, but I'll quote it as-is, as it's perfect: "You have a set of tasks with clear priorities. You show up and you do it, and then you clock out and get on with your life. If you just want to show up and collect a paycheck, there's room for that here. If you want to get involved and build something, there's room for that here too. Most of all, Soflyy provides flexibility. You can work when you want and where you want. The company is truly async, you will never receive a notification."

Cons

I'm not certain that these are a con, but I can see how they'd be considered as negatives by some people. For me, it's perfect. They will not hold your hand and coach you along. You complete your training and then you need to be able to run with it. If you can't do that, you don't belong at Soflyy. There aren't frequent meetings and you can't call for help. It's fully remote. If you want to chat to colleagues or spend time together, then this isn't the job for you. If you screw up, they'll let you know. They won't beat around the bush, they'll be direct and to-the-point. If you like your failings wrapped up in cotton wool, look elsewhere. As another reviewer said, lots of ideas end up in the bin. Great ideas are acted upon. Soflyy has high standards.
