Do not work here unless you can handle blame

Pros

Fast growing company, and their items are amazing to buy

Cons

I wish I had read the reviews before working here, the management do not care about your personal life I.e mental health or family illness/bereavements. I left the company 4 months ago, and it was the best thing I ever did. The management team on certain departments are not there to help you, they are there to belittle you and blame you for every aspect of your work. One day you will be the favourite, the next nobody will say a word to you, not even morning when you are walking through the office. You can always tell also when you had made a mistake as nobody will talk to you, until you are pulled into a meeting a spoken to like dirt on the bottom of their shoe.

Pros

There are some really lovely people in the office

Cons

Left an excellent company and role to take on what felt like an exciting role here which was well paid - much more than I had previously, had 4 interviews over a period of 6 months including one with one of the owners so they were well informed of my experience, understanding of the brand and the ability to take on the role. I spent several months setting up new processes, working on projects outside of my job role and utilising all the experience that I had been hired to bring to the company with plenty of praise along the way from my direct line manager and peers. After a couple of months I was told out of the blue the owners didn’t feel I was ‘the right fit’ and my contract was terminated with 1 weeks notice (it’s a 6 month probationary period here which is much longer than the norm of 3 months I’ve had in every other role). I had no formal conversations, the decision was completely unexpected (and probably quite close to them having to pay a recruiters fee). The owners are involved in everything and if your ideas and experience don’t mirror their opinions you are abruptly cut down and made to feel inadequate. Do not leave a secure job to take a newly created role here!! I was left with serious financial difficulties due to how my role was handled which I am still struggling to get through.

Pros

Staff parties were paid for and usually fun - unless there were arguments or people upsetting each other (usually true)

Cons

Company is full of bullies and people who be-little you. No company parking. Toxic work environment - I wouldn't recommend at all. Job role is never as expected. People are fired with no notice if they decide they like someone else better - one minute you're flavour of the month, next you're out on your ear.
