Pros

Learn a lot under pressure (if you can cope with constant goal post changes)

Cons

- Dish out shares to 'examplary employees', only to take them back (and fire you) as soon as your no longer any use to them (e.g you burn out) - Technical debt on brand new isolated features is pushed for if it means you get it done faster - we should never voluntarily introduce tech debt - Disorganised stakeholders, features often come via Whatsapp from a CEO who thinks 100 devs = 100 x the output - Tech solutions decided by the business and contracts signed without any consulting with the devs or tech leads, leading to integrations that are lengthy and often unachivable. - CTO is nice to your face but behind your back its another story, lead devs and managment have the same mindset, leading to a toxic environment.

Pros

Some people are nice. Most keep to themselves. Very autonomous

Cons

Leavers and Redundancies every 6 months. I survived 4 over the last 3 years. Employees call it the hunger games. Not run well, although everyone has the best intentions with no stable plan. C-suite has a lot of blue sky ideas or just copies competitors so a new initiative, product or service is created every month where everyone runs around like headless chickens to design deliver and implement only for c-suite to lose interest and gets scrapped - So so much money is wasted. They need to prioritise a key set of products that actually makes Stubben edge money and refocus operations. Implement kpi’s and a business plan. The busiest it gets is when the annual rugby tournament begins! Every Jan csuite panic looking for new investors, Sit back for 9 months, make redundancies because not a single initiative takes off and the cycle starts again. Bonkers place to work. …may the odds forever be in your favour.

Pros

There’s a very very small handful of genuine people.

Cons

Too many to mention but here’s a few… - The Tech is awful and always way way behind schedule! - ‘Revolutionize the insurance industry’ - Utter rubbish - Disorganized - Don’t fully complete projects and then just move onto something new. - Training was a joke !!! - Staff with over inflated egos and self importance. - Wasting people’s/ companies time by over promising and under delivering. - Wasting millions of pounds of investors money. - Big round of recent redundancies . The list goes on and on.
