Pros

The work is interesting, and important to the public service. I really enjoyed being able to contribute to that. The other benefits are great too, free opal card, lots of learning opportunities. Travelling/accommodation is all sorted out for you, so that's really good. Heaps of really experienced tradies to learn from.

Cons

Management is hostile to people with disabilities. Discrimination is so absolutely rampant it's hard to believe. If you are neurodivergent, you will become a target. You will not be be afforded protections under the relevant policies. They are only given to people without disabilities. Pay is low by comparison to similar jobs.
