Pros

Transfr’s mission is pretty cool: "train the future of every industry and open up exciting new opportunities for talent across the globe and at home. We train people for well-paying careers available now in high-demand fields, enabling learners to find job security and upward mobility, facilitated by immersive, hands-on VR training."

Cons

Unfortunately, how we execute that mission is unbearable. There are quite a few concerns about this company and employees agree. Some of us have been here for just a few months, while others have several years under their belts, but we've all lost respect for our leadership. They keep implementing monthly changes that make it nearly impossible for us to reach our goals. Right now, more than two-thirds of the reps are significantly behind, and catching up is impossible. In fact, over half the teams are actively exploring new career options because of it. The main issues here are that blame is consistently placed on the reps, management micromanages excessively, and there's a pervasive atmosphere of belittlement all with unrealistic goals. Management isn't helping make things easier....they are making things more difficult every month. Unless you're a developer, I wouldn't recommend considering a job here.

Thank you for your feedback; your input is valued as it helps us improve. We have various internal channels for feedback including monthly retrospectives, office hours, direct CEO outreach, and an email hotline, but we appreciate you sharing your concerns here. Regarding your mention of most reps falling behind, it’s inaccurate and a result of a miscommunication. Please note that our business model doesn't follow the traditional SaaS revenue pattern. We are committed to supporting all of our reps, and are actively working with those who may need help getting back on track. We have a goal to maintain or exceed employee retention at 95% or above, and we are succeeding on that. Still, we need to listen, learn, and improve every day. We've introduced operational improvements like sales reps' activity metrics and also added sales support tools to provide concrete assistance in achieving their goals. Meetings are meant to celebrate success and share lessons learned. While we understand the pace of change can be challenging, it also brings exciting opportunities. We're committed to helping you find the best role within the company that aligns with your skills and interests if it’s not sales. Your commitment to our mission is appreciated, and we encourage you to use our feedback channels for direct assistance with any further concerns.

Too much, too fast, too prejudice

Pros

My colleagues were kind, at first I was weary but then realized we were all on the same page. Looked up to them.

Cons

Upper management is very prejudiced. Not surprised being that a bulk of the teams are from red states but was surprised that a tech start-up could be so blatantly insensitive. I wrote detailed memorandums which I reviewed with colleagues as each discriminatory event happened. Reporting to HR was the final straw. Whoops!

Pros

It was nice to be able to work from home.

Cons

Leadership constantly would pretend like they were listening to concerns or problems you are having in your job and would promise to fix it. They never would address the concerns, and if you try to follow up with them even months after the leadership would just get irritated and say they are working on it. My direct manager would constantly forget conversations we had from even just a day before and mix up conversations he had with somebody else as one he had with me. Meetings everyday would almost always go 30-45 minutes over without any clear idea what the point of the meeting was. When asked for specific help or training the request would be ignored. There was absolute know sales enablement or training available. Also, the VP of Sales, CFO, and VP of Marketing all left the company within 6 months of each other.
