When I started working there in 2019 it was a small, thoughtful, well run org. Very friendly and everyone was very competent. I was very happy for about 3 years and planned to be there forever. Unfortunately the org grew too quickly and brought on people in leadership positions who make decisions that are not mission aligned or productive. TGH has more staff and more money than ever before but they have less graduates (5500 grads in 2019 vs 3800 grads in 2022). I believe it's due to bad decision making. The people making decisions now have no experience with programming, nor do they seek or use data before making decisions that affect all stakeholders. Also, through this very fast growth, the org wasn't able to keep a healthy culture. Within the span of a year it went from a great place to work to really the worse work environment I'd ever been in. I actually consider it very toxic. Multiple employees cried on a regular basis, including myself. I'm sad to see the place in such a state. I would not recommend working there.
