Pros

Co-workers can be awesome. But then they usually end up leaving because of the toxic culture that drips down from what floats at the top.

Cons

- Owners are not interested in the industry and have no knowledge of it - Terrible communication from top down, and sometimes no communication at all so people in the field have no clue what or why a decision has been made that impacts them -Employees are expected to be glad they are working for the company just because of the industry (cannabis) and not because of any particular benefit provided by the company - No benefits are provided by the company (except health insurance) -People are fired for reasons that are never disclosed, which makes everyone nervous about losing their jobs 24/07 -Super rude Human Resources personnel who, when asked for help with something, emails a screen shot of the employee handbook instead of actually responding to the question -Owners don't even live in Missouri and have no understanding or appreciation for state specifics -Unstable environment due to continuous employee upheaval -No career path -Expectation that employees are on call every day, seven days a week

Pros

- I have met some lovely people, but none of them work there anymore

Cons

-no lunch breaks for managers - HR is a mess (terminated health insurance before an employee actually stopped working there) - sexist corporate level - sexual harassment by security guards -micromanaged to the fullest extent - YOU run on THEIR time, no respect - have an issue? they will shut you up with a pizza party. that's it.

Pros

Wonderful people working in the store teams. Some of the best in the business.

Cons

-Executive Leadership is morally challenged and lacks honesty and integrity. -Input from employees is sought and then roundly dismissed, ridiculed and ignored. -Executive Leadership lacks the retail business acumen to be successful. -Qualified and intelligent people are not empowered to make decisions or to do the job that they were hired to do. Field leaders are expected to be nothing more than tools for the implementation of the woefully uninformed wishes of executive leaders. -Poor environment for women as there are NO women in executive leadership or in the ownership group. Women are treated dismissively and are passed over for well-earned promotions. -Executive leadership fails to provide strategic planning or direction of any kind. -Executive leadership is secretive and fails to provide the information and perspective needed to successfully accomplish the parameters of the given role. One cannot be held accountable when one does not have the information to make informed decisions. -Executive Leaders scapegoat and fire valued employees without even the illusion of due process. -Executive Leaders engage in bullying, scare-tactics and marginalization of employees. -Complete absence of trust. Organizations move at the speed of trust and trust is the most valuable commodity that ANY organization possesses.
