    Pros

Stable Company, can move up if you work hard and ignore the politics. Pay in long run can be good if you move up.

    Cons

Politics, different messages from different managers. If not part of inner circle will not move up.

    Advice to Management

Do not be afraid to listen to an hourly associate who might know more than you.

I have been working at The Home Depot full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great overall plan and culture, upbeat and customer focused.

    Cons

I've heard too many times, but this is the way we've always done it. Although an entrepreneurial spirit is a core value, it seems its not being adhered to.

    Advice to Management

Delve deep into the messaging in your middle management. It doesn't seem the value wheel exists at times. Overall great words, but implementation is lacking.

I have been working at The Home Depot part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

So far in my working career this is the best company I have ever worked for
I have been in this current job for less than 3 months
Everyone is encouraging, motivating, and wants to see you succeed.
I was made employee of the month for December from operations, which means in the whole store, what an honor
I feel this will be my last job, that I will retire from here. I look forward to setting out my goals for growth and then setting out to achieve them. I can see myself doing great things with Home Depot, thank you to the Brantford store 7138, you all rock

    Cons

At this point I have nothing to report, other than this is the best place ever, and so happy to be a Homer and proud to wear orange

home depot is a friendly place to work, good benefits, such as insurance, earned sick days, vacation pay, twice yearly share of profits bonus, monthly cake for birthdays in that month., frequent catered lunches as bonus for achieved goals in credit card and sales goals, and for other special things, and sometimes just for no reason at all. advancement in the company is favored and encouraged, .awards for good customer service , good starting wage .good ideas are always wellcome and appreciated . understanding when days off are necessary.

    Cons

no set schedule usually, lpen until ten oclock in the summer . open at 6 am . standing on concrete floors.
