Would not recommend, even if the mission is great

Pros

Aims to help international talent to integrate into Finnish society, which is a great mission. You get to work with people from around the world who want to do good to others. There is, at best, a shared vibe of excitement, especially if you manage to help someone in a concrete way. Connected to the startup ecosystem in Helsinki.

Cons

Despite the spot-on mission, riddled with lack of direction and an unhealthy working culture. High churn of staff due to lack of good leadership, unrealistic demands, high-stress environment, and lack of empathy. After 5 years in operation, still no clear service portfolio, which leads to just desperately doing whatever to make money. Salaries are subpar. If you decide to work there, and you are driven by the mission, make sure you're unionised and can get legal support if necessary.

Wild ride

Pros

Went from dream job to a nightmare, but mostly due to personal chemistry issues with leadership that has since left the company. The team was always great and the work is meaningful.

Cons

Money at a non-profit is always tight which affects everything, and perhaps a little too much in this case.
