Pros

If not the genuine staff- I would say none.

Cons

Let's get started... Money, money, money... We all know how expensive it is to live in London, but in Tower they don't care. You think you will be working in a swanky Shoreditch office and have a hipsterish life, but in reality you will be scrapping every single penny out of your pocket not being able to afford anything. Money in Tower is just beyond disgusting, getting minimum wage, which doesn't correspond to actual hours. People actual suffer because of that, but hey- please don't think they will care. It will take you a year to get 1k pay-rise. Extremely long hours, be ready to be feeling dead after a month of working there. However, to get away with the law- it is just 1 hour less under the legal requirement. Plus, forget that you will get paid for overtime- the contract protects Tower and states that overtime is unpaid. As someone said that before- disposable culture. You might get fired even if you worked there for years. In Tower they love to stab you in the back and ruin your life. You will be replaced by cheaper version of you or by expensive leather sofa. Every year there is a spring clean up and unfortunately someone who is not very lucky that day- will get fired. CCTV cameras all over the office watching you- if you want to feel like in George Orwell's novel '1984' this is a great place for you. All the management has an app where they can just have a glance what are you doing at work. Surpriseeeee to the management(big brother) - we are actually working! Okay, so if by accident you've decided to apply to work there, be ready for meaningless interview where you are almost not sure if the interviewer is listening to you. If you seem nice, kind and naive- they will take you so you can get exploited. Lies, lies lies. So after a while you realise how crap the benefits of working at Tower are and you start asking for better ones- good luck. You will hear what you want to hear, they will tell you give me one month, two after you realise it has been a year and nothing has changed. And yet, you wasted your another precious year. Most appalling thing on Tower's Glasdoor account is that the only 2 good reviews are written by the management which is beyond disgusting and once more shows how this company is tangled in lies. We can all brag and write long reviews, but someone who is actually reading this, please put all of these reviews as a puzzle and you will see a bigger picture.

Pros

30% staff discount. Free shoes from brand reps.

Cons

Where to start??? The company care more about making profit than staff retainment or driving their business forward. Everything is centered around cost-cutting and making sales. Communication is through What's App on your personal phone, where the HoR doesn't consider your day's off, so will still challenge you despite you not being at work. Communication is negative and you are constantly threatened with disciplinary action. Senior managers are unprofessional in their conduct, swearing at staff, shouting down the phone and telling everyone who they are going to fire. Everyone works over 50hrs p/w and this is not paid or compensated - some staff have even been made to work 7 day weeks! They refuse to promote people to management positions, so your days off are dictated by who can cover your store and not your personal needs. Most store staff do not have contracts so are unaware of their employment rights. There are no H&S logs, training or inductions. Data protection is a joke - staff employment details are left on shelving in the back areas and all staff have online access to everyone's salary details. This company is a waiting for a law-suit to happen but rather than make amendments, they recruit people who are unaware of their rights and bully them into submission.

Pros

Staffs are very polite and genuine. Very understand and kind manager

Cons

No progression. The HOR has a lack of respect for his staffs. Only work for the company for a short while but it was the worse of my life. There is no structure. Staffs information can be accessed by other staffs. Payroll is left open on screen and easy to find and anyone can change it. HOR promised me a wage in the interview which I did not receive. Was not given a contract, was not given any information on fire exist and the how to be safe while working. They do not show staff appreciation. This company is due for a law suit. I was hired for one store but taken to another store which wasn’t convenient for me explained to HOR but was ignored.
