First, their hiring practices: During the interview process, I was given grossly inflated statements about commission/earning potential. I later learned this doctor/owner has lured previous employees with promises of commission that they never saw a dollar of.
Turnover is constant. The office administrator who brought me on quit soon after, and I learned s/he was the 29th or 30th office mngr alone in 15 years. (This doctor obsesses over every dollar, but the money she's lost from turnover has to be astronomical.) This doctor and esthetics management bad-mouth employees in front of other employees and sales reps. Defamatory comments were made about past employees.
Just shortly after starting, while trying to get important basics in place (commission structure, job responsibilities!) management actually advised to look for a new job. Said things have always been this dysfunctional at Turkle & Associates, wouldn't change, and that "so many people have come and gone that losing another wouldn't matter." This is was certainly a first and demoralizing early on.
This doctor contacts people about job openings and leads interviews -- but has her poor office administrator of-the-month let them go. If you push for what was financially promised, this doctor will find a way to get rid of you. RUN toward other options.
