Pros

Great Base Pay Set schedule Autonomy Most co workers were easy to work with Job is easy, sierra carries a wide array of products that are sought after by many businesses. You will have success with Sierra if you are experienced with lumber sales

Cons

Can feel like a glorified retail job that pays better. During my 10 week training, my manager only met with me 2. At first I loved the autonomy, but as I learned quickly, it was really due to the fact that the manager was too busy to really teach me or guide me. If you are not liked be certain individuals in management, your time is limited. The day I was let go, my former lead was already talking poorly about me to my former team. Warehouse workers and drivers will let you know that only 1 person has made it from inside sales to outside sales. Teachable moments turn into hour long conversations where you only receive negative feedback, in my experience. I had a few experiences where I was cursed out for mistakes, which can be fine, but ultimately set me back in terms of confidence and ability. (Felt like you were being bullied) Ultimately the wrong fit for me.
