Pros

1. Almost all regular employees are informative, innovative, and collaborative co-workers and work environments, enabling team leaders. This place pushes you to always put your best foot forward. 2. The firm is growing fast with award-winning asset management products catering towards one of the most significant pension funds in the US. So, there are numerous opportunities to grab and scope for personal and career- growth. 3. Core teams are small by design, allowing one to learn and be productive in a small timeframe. Regular communication between upper management and employees, openness to new ideas, and continuous encouragement to improve personally and professionally. 4. Good starting salaries for PhDs, and those are from a research background.

Cons

1. Since core teams are small in size by design from the start of the firm, sometimes one does almost every aspect of the process, including research, analytics, and portfolio. Such an experience helped immensely in my learning process and gave me hands-on in a different process in the DevOps pipeline. However, for some individuals, this can be overwhelming. 2. Since core business is US-based, it is sometimes difficult to manage time zones, and work can stretch very late in the night. 3. One needs to be efficient in planning and executing their work time as all the processes have a faster turn-around. This leaves less time to think about more complex problems.
