I worked at Yardi Systems full-time
Pros
Workmates
Office
Weird packages
Global Office
It's hard to come up with more pros
Cons
Cloud Service
Culture
Bludging management
Low Salary
False Promise
Advice to Management
Cloud Service (IT Service) in Sydney is just dead
Your concern such as work culture, ethic, progression, and salary don't get fixed. Too much poker faces to maintain reputation and to look good on managers who are based in the U.S.A. People are mentally struggling. Complaints and concerns just can't be raised because everything is under cover. Headquarter and offices around the world are not aware of this unfortunately. You will waste and regret for the rest of your life. Your life is worth more than what this company's letter "Y"stands for, which is a price of a penny

I worked at Yardi Systems full-time
Pros
Most people are friendly and approachable
Decent benefits plan
Family owned business and good business culture, but only at the top level in the U.S
Culture in Sydney is very un-australian due to heavy international influence from specific regions
Cons
Appointed managers are tactless and lack people skills (only exception here is the cloud managers)
Management tends heavily towards micro-management
Working from home is not allowed
Promotions are politically motivated, rather than based on actual leadership skills
Advice to Management
If you wish to retain employees, find leaders who are good at managing people and possess charisma and people skills, not just technical competence. People often leave managers not companies.

I have been working at Yardi Systems full-time
Pros
- There is a good team and culture
- Not much micromanagement but might change soon
- Support from other teams and mentoring
Cons
- Low pay
- Politics in management
- Does not understand the Australian employees needs
- Doesn't care much about offices outside of US
- No room for growth
Advice to Management
As with many other Sydney post, I agree that the pay is very low. If you want to retain staff you need to pay them more.
In your response to other Sydney reviews, you mention you benchmark against national norms, what are you using? Is this US benchmark? If you're using US benchmark then you should pay us in US dollars and not AUD.
It seems like when benchmark is used, you'll put employees in the lowest end of the mark. This seem to be happening across all departments in Sydney office, it'll result in few employees leaving this company soon.
You need to research and understand the Australian market and our living cost expense.
In regards to the 'top notch healthcare', not everyone uses it here. Unfortunately we can't cancel and convert our 'top notch healthcare' payments into out salary for other use such as paying for bills and mortgage.
We can take this to HR but the decision is up to management in US HQ and it look like nothing is getting done.
You need to be like other software companies such as Google, Salesforce etc.

Pros
Nice People
Health Care provided
Pay 50% of your travel to work
Cons
No Pay rises ever, not even CPI

Bad staff are not let go, good staff leave, so on a downward hill
Too American focused, upper management don't care outside of USA
Expenses take too long to process leaving you out of pocket for long periods
No upper management in Aus leaving us directionless
Poor communication between staff of different teams and what little management we do have
No chance to climb the corporate ladder, structure is too flat, no opportunities
No training whatsoever
Advice to Management
Provide Basic pay increases so we don't go backward
Retain good staff,
Open Communication lines with your employees
Put employees first
Walk the walk, don't just say things will improve when you have no intention of doing so

Pros
Lack of organisation means a lot of downtime between projects.
Social aspect of being "in the trenches"
India support team have a good culture.
Cons
Flat management structure forces senior managers to deal with every day tactical issues (usually poorly).
Sales-focused at the expense of product quality and customer satisfaction.
Products US-focused and not localised (or prioritised to be localised).
Poor training for non-US staff with minimal admin and development support- preference for "sink or swim" of new starters.
