Pros

The staff and other people directly in the trench with you are nice people.

Cons

Extremely under educated leadership that genuinely thinks they know the most about everything. Will disregard your opinions even when asking for them. Will throw their weight around when things don't go their way, then make it so hard to work there you will quit. So many colleagues of mine have had no choice but to leave due to the gaslighting, bullying and abusive nature of their senior leaders. Ove seen them gossip and insult other staff members when they think they aren't heard. They've lied to customers about problems and then blamed staff for not resolving them. They are quick to pass the buck and are faultless. At the end of the day if you don't slot into their "boys club" of drinking, cricket, fast cars and objectifying women openly you won't last long there as any form of management.

Pros

I don't have any pros to share

Cons

Every few months the company seems to change and make things worse and worse. We have a new ticketing system that takes too long to do anything and only a handful actually like (surprise, surprise, they were also involved in setting it up!) The KPI's we have are difficult to reach and they tied it into bonuses, it's really unfair. Then they changed our structure from pods to squads which are unfairly balanced. The leaders get these ideas in their head and change stuff without thinking them through. It's like they deliberately want to make our jobs harder. My area is now understaffed and more people are planning to leave. It's like the Titanic, we've hit the iceberg, some are running for the lifeboats to get out while others like myself are stuck.

Pros

See the cons instead of the pros

Cons

Where do I begin. I work on the Service Desk, since I've been here we've changed structure 4 times in 3 years with different groupings like pods. I have never seen an MSP so disjointed that it changes like this. Because of the frequent changes, we've been losing 2 or more staff on the desk every month. Poor management making poor decisions. The desk in Melbourne is a shell of what it once was. With knowledge leaving en masse for other providers. The desk in Brisbane so far seems to be only stable one. But the desk in Sydney has also begun to collapse. Unfortunately, I believe that the leadership has given up on trying to develop the staff on the desk. Due to the turnover rate, they don't see us as worth building up. Instead there were others on the desk, not in leadership roles who would mentor and help build people like myself. Those 3 staff along with the 1 in Sydney have since left. Without the heart, the desk is a toxic uninviting place. Do not work here. Do not suffer like we have. You deserve better than Blueapache.
