Don't come here and ruin your career

Pros

- Some of the staff is nice, welcoming, and talks often - Open office concept, flexible when you can come in to work - Some get paid well, some don't - Nice location downtown, accessible, nice building, modern office

Cons

Here is the blunt truth about dicentra: - They hire you to take your knowledge / expertise & pretend to form a connection with you only to dump you once you've finished your task only to hire some low-level, low paying person to take over - EXTREMELY HIGH turnover due to the CEO's dictator-like leadership - ZERO, and I mean ZERO training / guides, you are thrown into a fire and expected to put it all out by yourself - CEO clearly has lost touch with reality, one minute you are applauded, the next you are scolded, and she will send you 30-40 emails within a 60 minute time-span - There are no targets or goals set, reviews are always negative despite you doing your tasks, and they DO NOT reward you for bringing in more money to the organization - VPs have clearly also lost motivation to work for the CEO, and I don't blame them - in 2018 nearly 1/3rd of the staff left the company on their own free-will

We maintain a very positive work environment and make every effort possible to provide our team members with the opportunity to develop their skills and expertise. We offer very competitive compensation and benefits, as well as other perks like flexible work schedules and the ability to work from home. We would like to add that dicentra is an excellent place to develop your career. Many of our people have been with us 5+ years, some even 15+ years. They are often promoted and many have worked their way up to high managerial roles. Many of our people also move on to senior positions at some of the largest and most successful companies in the life science and food industries. We finally would like to add that when applying to dicentra please be very diligent in reading the job description and job requirements. It's important that you do not misrepresent yourself and/or inaccurately boast your qualifications/abilities. This is especially the case if you are being hired for a senior role. You will be expected to produce results from a very early stage. We value all feedback and thank you for your contributions as we continue to make positive changes within our growing organization.

Unfortunately I do not have any!

Cons

Lack of clear objectives. The upper management is not supportive at all. One way communication. Extreme turnover rate. There will be a lot of expectations and no work appreciation. Poor management skills of looking for mistakes rather than solving them as a team. No leadership to help employees to grow within the company. Demotivating working environment. Unfortunately I would not recommend this company to anyone!

The office is conveniently located on both subway lines.

Cons

- Unprofessional working environment - Negative corporate culture - Lack of process and poor leadership from senior management - Extremely high turnover - 2 sicks days - Lack of onboarding practices - No accountability from senior management - Solely focussed on the bottom line
