Pros

Flexible hours, choose your schedule, and work online. Great students from around the world, offering a culturally enriching experience.

Cons

Unrealistic, impossible-to-achieve bonuses. Poor communication. Unpaid report writing for every single lesson. Spying on lessons. No pay increase—ever. Micromanagement. Undervalued and underappreciated. Welcome to the McDonald's of the English teaching world.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It’s great to hear that you value the flexibility and the opportunity to connect with learners worldwide—that’s a unique and enriching aspect of teaching online with goFLUENT. Regarding the concerns you've raised, we’d like to offer some insights: - Bonus Program: we’re pleased to share that more trainers are successfully achieving bonuses, thanks to program adjustments and ongoing support. Our aim is to ensure these incentives remain both realistic and motivating. - Communication: our Managers strive to be accessible and responsive, offering guidance and assistance whenever needed. If there’s a specific instance where communication fell short, we encourage you to share it with us so we can address it directly. - Lesson Report Writing: the reports are an integral part of the lesson experience and can often be completed during the session, ensuring trainers are compensated for their time. - Lesson Observations: we don’t "spy" on lessons but rather observe selectively to identify areas where we can offer targeted support and resources to help Trainers succeed and get them a higher pay. - Compensation and Support: while pay increases may not always be direct, we’ve invested heavily in resources like incentive programs with monetary benefits and technology upgrades to enhance your experience and increase earning potential. We’re committed to making continuous improvements and ensuring that our trainers feel supported, valued, and empowered in their roles, and we are happy to see more and more success stories among our pool of Trainers!

Pros

work from home I can't thin k of any other

Cons

horrible training wastes your time demanding old picky ladies who want to absorb you at the cost of free unpaid training be careful, training has a test, if you fail, you won't be able to start working you need to get 100% in the test, they never tell you about this. Training is just too much to be for free your salary depends on bookings, super annoying supervisors (Freelance should not have any supervisors)

Pros

You are guaranteed back to back lessons if that`s what you want. In addition to 30 hours of guaranteed lessons per week.

Cons

You can be the best teacher in the world and they will always look down on you by telling you what you do wrong all the time. It`s a place that brings your slef esteem rock bottom. There is no sense of team work and they prevent trainers from interacting with each other for a mysterious reasons. Even if you work for 15 years you won`t get a raise. They take advantage of the current economic crises and the fact that many of the teachers are desperate for the work. They care more about NST rates than the health of the employees. If you work 70 hours a week and don`t make it for 3 of the lessons they will be on your tail. Be ready to feel stressed out and underpaid for the amount of work you do. You need to listen, teach, speak take notes while in your sessions and do extra work preparing reports. They pay different teachers different hourly rates. Horrific.
