Pros

You might actually convince yourself that you are in fact working in the medical marijuana. The commute wasn't bad. 7-11 right across the street

Cons

This place is a total nightmare. You could not be further from actually working in the marijuana/ cannabis industry. The founder of the company has entrusted a washed up pretend ex finance bully to run the company. He has zero experience in anything digital whatsoever and has no idea how to manage people other than to bully and intimidate them. From his pretend wall street career he thinks he is Jordan Belfort which he pushes on his sale team. The biggest con is that doctors really have no need for the paid service. In a few years there will be no marijuanadoctors.com with the service becoming obsolete. The website looks like a high school project and constantly fails. The pay is a joke and the COO literally steals from his salespeople. I've never seen a company where the manager receives a larger payout then the salesperson who closes the deal, it's robbery and laughable. The sales cycle is absurd and the deal size terrible. You can follow up for months only to get paid $60.00 from the deal (seriously)! You are intimidated, cut down and belittled almost daily working here. You are forced to work nights and weekends by fear of termination if you do not. The office is overrun with immaturity and constant drama between employees who are inexperienced and ignorant about the real world.

Pros

I have worked at marijuanadoctors.com for about 5 years now, and only have positive things to say about the company and the work environment. While it is true that they may not be just anybody's cup of tea, they are true to who they are, and the unconventional and alternative culture, are indicative of this. The work environment is fun, fast paced, and outside-the-box — and there are many opportunities available to all, willing to put in the time and do the work. Its also important to note that marijuanadoctors.com is a startup company, and startup company’s are NOT for everyone! A startup company, in itself comes with some ups and down. So, if you are looking for a “safe job”, then a startup isn’t for you! But if you are looking for a creative atmosphere that is electric with never-ending possibilities, and are the kind of person who jumps into help at every opportunity, then this is definitely a company that you can grow with. The upside to working at marijuanadoctors.com is that we are a family, first and foremost!! Our core unit of dedicated and hardworking individuals, are thoughtfully taken care at every available opportunity — important to mention, because while a startup operates on limited funds, the family aspect and open door policy ensures that if any 1 of us has a problem, personal or other, management does every thing they can, to help fix it for the better. I initially started at marijuanadoctors.com in the customer call center, fielding incoming calls from patients in need — a job that I found to be an extremely humbling process, and believe that its a position that anyone coming into the company should begin with, as it not only gives you a human feeling for what we are doing here, but also teaches you about every aspect of our service. I then transitioned into the role of content writer, and in addition to writing online content and company press releases, I also manage our company newsletter and social media presence. As an employee, I have always been paid, and paid in a timely manner. I have attended industry events and festivals, on the expense of the company, and have received financial bonus’s for working on particular projects — work that again extended past the lines of my job description, but thats what a startup is all about! After all, GOOGLE didn’t start off as the google we all know today, it too, had humble beginnings.

Cons

Like I said, startups aren't for just anyone, it takes a unique kind of individual to succeed in a startup. If you are looking for job stability and regularity, then this isn't the fit for you. Also, it is important to mention that in addition to being a startup, marijuanadoctors.com is also a company in the up-and-coming medical cannabis industry, which may again, appeal to some but not others. If your views do not support medical marijuana and it’s patients, then marijuanadoctors.com is not for you. However, if you understand the medical benefit, and support the medical use of marijuana, then marijuanadoctors.com is just the home for you.

Pros

This is hard. I worked some fine c-level team members, while inexperienced and immature for their roles, still not bad people. A smaller sized office (their are only 12 employees).

Cons

They do not pay full commission promised. The management takes unwarranted cuts of deals they had nothing to do with . You are intimidated by insecure leaders to do your job. A serious lack of any leadership by any team members with no direction for the team. Management forces team members to perform personal chores (yes that is correct) with intimidation and threat of not receiving leads for noncompliance.
