BAD BUSINESS - POOR UPPER MANAGEMENT

Anonymous employee

Pros

Interesting projects and atmosphere dealing with furniture, props, and fabrication in the film/tv, stage, event, photo industries.

Cons

This is a classic example of a toxic work environment, with toxic leadership being the main culprit. Upper management is not interested in building a foundation for a healthy and stable place of business. It is widely known amongst the various industries that they mistreat their staff as well as clients, and have very little interest in progressing as a company. Some sound advice on this place: STEER CLEAR. STAY AWAY. LEAVE.

Pros

Exposure to a range of clients and projects Opportunity to gain industry knowledge, especially for those early in their careers Fast-paced environment where you’ll learn by doing

Cons

Very low pay compared to industry standards Long hours with no regard for work-life balance Minimal benefits, limited PTO, and no real perks Raises and growth opportunities are rare Extremely high turnover Most importantly: a toxic work culture fostered by ownership and management This company may provide you with initial industry exposure, but it comes at a cost. If you value your mental and emotional well-being, proceed with caution. Know your boundaries, and have a clear exit plan once you’ve gained the experience you need.
