Travel through my lens Part 3️⃣7️⃣: from Belgium 🇧🇪 to South Africa 🇿🇦 We are continuing our extraordinary Eurofins adventure by showcasing breath-taking destinations visited by our globe-trotting employees. 🌍 From the cobbled streets of Belgium to the natural beauty of the Western Cape, this group of Eurofins colleagues from our Brussels Group Service Centre formed a friendship that took them to the southernmost tip of Africa! The squad embarked on an adventure of a lifetime to explore the iconic Table Mountain, try sweet wine in the vineyards of Stellenbosch, quadbike across the Atlantis desert, and soak up stunning views from Chapmans Peak. ⛰️ Alex, Madeleine and Taja – from France, the UK and South Africa respectively – say “We’re grateful to Eurofins for bringing us together! Making friends with colleagues from around the world, who love to travel together, has been amazing. This trip was even more special because it allowed us to share in Taja’s culture together by visiting her home country!“ Let’s connect the world together! 🗺️
⛷ ☃ Snow day for Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing Italy! An unforgettable experience for our employees. ❄ This fun event engaged our colleagues in various sports associated with winter weather, from skiing to snowshoeing. These activities not only highlighted their individual skills but also nurtured productive team dynamics, fostering a healthy, positive, and collaborative team environment – a signature of our organisational culture. 😎 During the snowshoe climb, the Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing Italy team faced a challenge as a group with the right mindset and motivation. Lunch and entertainment activities offered precious moments of relaxation and interaction, strengthening bonds between colleagues. 🤝 Our colleagues embraced this moment as a fantastic opportunity to grow as a collective team, fuelling a supportive environment and empowering individuals to make a meaningful difference in their interactions with others.
There's nothing better than hands-on learning! The Eurofins Food & Agro testing Portugal sales team recently got together with Eurofins Lagra, a company within the Eurofins Food & Agro Testing Portugal network, to share learnings so that they can better service clients. In the spirit of experiential learning, the sales team visited an olive oil producer and had the opportunity to learn about the fascinating olive oil production process and discover how Eurofins’ Food and Agro Testing services could support olive oil production and quality control. Congrats to everyone involved in organising these great initiatives!
Take a look inside Eurofins Viracor’s company headquarters in Lenexa, Kansas, USA. The 110,000 square foot facility houses the Eurofins Viracor BioPharma Services and Eurofins Viracor Clinical operations with state-of-the-art analytical testing equipment. The new facility is located in close proximity to Kansas City International Airport as well as a local FedEx hub to accelerate testing turnaround times. This purpose-built structure exemplifies Eurofins Viracor’s continued commitment to expand its testing capacity and support customer needs.
In February, Eurofins Danmark - Laboratorium based in Denmark hosted the Eurofins Change Management & Acquisition session with representatives from Eurofins companies in 11 different countries. Senior managers networked and shared insights with each other, took part in a challenging business assignment, and learned all about the Eurofins High Potential programme. It was great to see the Eurofins team spirit in action. Well done to all the participants for their enthusiasm!
The Eurofins Sac Ky Hai Dang team in Vietnam celebrated International Women’s Day in style last week. They organised fun activities at their Eurofins site to recognise the achievements and dedication of the 117 talented women working as part of their 202 employee-strong team!
Have you heard of the People and Development Roadshow? The travelling roadshow event, which is organised especially for Eurofins employees across Germany, aims to inform staff about initiatives run by and supports offered by the Eurofins People & Development department, including training, benefits, and health management. During these events, our HR teams present their 2023 People & Development Programme to colleagues, and gather ideas for new initiatives and supports to implement. The "pme familienservice" (Employee Assistance Service team) is also part of the roadshow event programme, showcasing the extensive range of services that they offer to employees. A big thanks to Kristina Wenzel and the People & Development department for all their work on this!
On International Women’s Day, Eurofins celebrates the achievements of women everywhere. This year’s theme is #EmbraceEquity and employees across the Eurofins network of companies are showing their support for women, embracing themselves and one another. On this very special day, join us and our colleagues in acknowledging the accomplishments of women across the world.
Eurofins Sverige is on the right track to achieve carbon neutrality! Our colleagues in Sweden calculated their carbon footprint and discovered that commuting to work via car was the third highest cause of CO₂ emissions overall. Therefore, Eurofins Sweden decided to take part in a national challenge during 2022 to become the most bicycle-friendly workplace in Sweden! The challenge consists of multiple elements, including cycling together as a team. Therefore, a mountain bike training session with Ivanda Eiduka was arranged. Ivanda is a mountainbike Nordics and Baltics D45 champion! Additionally, in the spirit of the challenge, many Eurofins Sweden employees began to cycle to work and cycle during their time off. There are so many reasons to take up cycling, including improving your health and fitness, reducing your carbon footprint, and protecting our planet. So, what are you waiting for?
