A few months ago, the first Employee Appreciation Ceremony was held in the Eurofins Consumer Products Assurance (CPA) offices in Bangladesh. During the ceremony, several Eurofins CPA employees were recognised for their outstanding performance at work during 2022. The team continued their celebrations with a singing and dancing performance! Thank you to Rashed Ahmed for arranging this memorable event!
A few weeks ago, the Eurofins Viracor team celebrated the grand opening of the company’s new headquarters in Kansas, USA. The 100,000 square foot facility will house the Eurofins Viracor BioPharma Services and Eurofins Viracor Clinical operations. By adding many state-of-the-art analytical testing platforms, processing automation, and ultralow storage technology, this expansion will help support the growing demand for clinical trial testing for drug development, and clinical diagnostic testing services. A strong pipeline of new projects for 2023 and beyond, combined with positive growth within Eurofins Viracor, sets the company on a successful project delivery path for the future. The Marketing and Communications team from Eurofins Environment Testing France recently took part in a cupcake workshop at Atelier PG in Paris. Under the guidance of a Pâtisserie Chef, the team members worked in pairs to bake red velvet cupcakes with raspberry filling as well as lemon and poppy seed cupcakes filled with mango and maracuja, and topped with Chantilly cream. Before the workshop, each team member added their favourite songs to a shared playlist so their colleagues could listen to some tunes while baking. The team had fun identifying different types of chocolate during a blind taste test, and when it came to decorating the sweet treats, everyone competed for the chance to be crowned the Cupcake Champion! It was great to see the Eurofins team spirit in action. Well done to all the participants for their creativity and enthusiasm!
Earlier this year, more than 40 recently-appointed Eurofins leaders from around the world gathered in our Brussels office to meet each other and discover more about Eurofins’ leadership philosophy. Gilles Martin, founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Eurofins Scientific Group, spoke to them about Eurofins’ mission, vision and values, and discussed business priorities for 2023. This was a great opportunity for the leaders to expand their network and gain a deeper understanding of how Eurofins laboratories operate. We wish them the best of luck in their roles!
Over the past few weeks, some of our colleagues around the world have been celebrating Ramadan. Two of our colleagues have shared with us what this month of fasting, prayer and reflection means to them. Mareeya Muneer, Senior Scientist at Eurofins EAG Agroscience in the USA: “For me, Ramadan is a sanctuary where deep contemplation, spiritual reflection and introspection are practiced with the goal to come out of this immersive experience as a better version of ones self. It is also a time of celebration and joy, and a chance to strengthen your bond with your family, friends and community.” Ajaz Qureshi, Senior Director Business Development at Eurofins Central Laboratory in the UK: “Ramadan is a time for family and friends, to help those less fortunate, to take care of and share with our community, and to pray and work on ourselves so we become better people.” As Ramadan is coming to an end, we hope you had a peaceful month and were able to make good memories with your loved ones.
Our colleagues at Eurofins Australia New Zealand have recently completed their move to their brand new Girraween campus! 🇦🇺🇳🇿 This 8,000 m2 state-of-the-art facility provides Environment, Pharmaceutical, Agroscience and Food Testing services in one location. The move is an exciting step on the team’s continued pursuit of analytical excellence and customer satisfaction.
Throwback to the summer season for our followers in the Southern Hemisphere! Our Agroscience Services team has just had one of the biggest rice harvests in Australia in over five years. Did you know? Australia mostly produces medium grain rice varieties that have been bred for high water use efficiency, using 50% less water to grow 1 kg of rice than the global average. Pictured here is Hamid, a research scientist from Eurofins AgroSciences Services, who is conducting a GLP (good laboratory practice) residue trial in rice, which will help develop a new agrochemical product for the rice industry.
The past few months have been busy but exciting for our teams across the world! As things are returning to normal, our colleagues have been organising training and team building events and pulling together as a team to help each other grow, because Eurofins is all about being stronger and smarter together. Trainings have focused on employees’ development, industry knowledge, technical know-how, and so much more!
