The Northern Trust Philippines team recently hosted a National Family Week to celebrate the diversity of abilities and families. Our employee-led Working Families and Abilities Business Resource Councils hosted an impactful speaker series covering care for Persons with Disabilities, financial Wellness, challenges Faced by Working mothers, mindful parenting, and animal welfare. 🌟 Dancing into Navratri: Celebrating Culture, Community, and Garba 🌟 Last week our team in London came together to celebrate the vibrant Hindu festival of Navratri, a nine-day celebration symbolizing the victory of good over evil. The team embraced this tradition by learning and performing Garba, a lively and symbolic dance that represents unity and the cycle of life. The Garba dance class, led by our very own Parth Shah, brought people from all backgrounds together to experience the joy and energy of this colourful festival. The event was thoughtfully organized by our employee-led Asian Leadership Business Resource Council (ALBRC), with Jaymini Ichharam taking the lead and Falguni Modha and Krishan Tank sharing their experiences. From understanding the cultural significance of Navratri to dancing and sharing in the fun and festivities, the event fostered a sense of community and inclusion. As part of our global month of service, Achieving Greater Together, Chairman and CEO Mike O’Grady joined a group of Northern Trust employees recently to volunteer with Nourishing Hope. Nourishing Hope is one of the largest and longest-operating hunger relief organizations in Chicago and provides the equivalent of more than 4.5 million meals each year throughout Chicago. Northern Trust is committed to supporting organizations that provide reliable access to nutritious meals to those facing food insecurity. To maximize the impact of our global month of service, we will once again donate 50 meals to global hunger relief organizations for every employee hour volunteered in October. #NTGivesBack
