Please meet Kathy Ann Funk, Riverside Research Program Manager and a radar subject matter expert. Kathy Ann and 61 other women made history as West Point's first women graduates. These women survived tough physical and academic rigors while facing open hostility from male cadets who opposed the sudden admission of women. Kathy Ann said, "I saw attitudes soften, one at a time, as these cadets observed our unending determination and grit." After serving in the Army, Kathy Ann spent a few years as a stay-at-home mom. The family moved often for her husbandās career, allowing Kathy Ann to work a variety of jobs from AP teacher to #manufacturing team leader. When the family moved abroad, Kathy Ann flourished as a #Radar Systems #Engineer. Sheās now worked on radars for over 20 years. She joined Riverside Research in 2015 and enjoys solving radar issues and encouraging her team to strive for excellence, collaboration, and professional expertise. What gives Kathy Ann hope is her experience that the attitudes and persistent efforts of one person can be a catalyst for incredible change. #W
