We're giving a round of applause to three team members in our Portland region for their outstanding performance. Account Manager Josef Majidi, Officer Anayelli Hernandez-Ramirez, and Supervisor Cody Shelton were presented with regional awards. These security professionals work at large distribution centers in northwest Oregon, where they manage the flow of workers and visitors entering and exiting the facilities. In addition to handling access control, they're responsible for ensuring no unauthorized items leave the premises. All three consistently demonstrate a positive attitude, a willingness to help their teammates, and a commitment to going above and beyond. Thank you for your hard work and dedication; keep up the great work! Over the past two weeks, several members of our corporate team became CPR-certified. A big thank you to Regional Trainer Tracy Keel for popping over from our Raleigh regional office to lead the training and certification process. CPR is a vital skill at Sunstates, with over 50% of our team holding a current certification. Our commitment to these life-saving skills was highlighted by our 2025 Officer of the Year, Aaron Polak, from the Fort Lauderdale region. In October 2024, Officer Polak used his CPR and EMT training to save the life of a resident at a senior living community. We're proud to continue supporting the American Heart Association's Triangle Heart Walk. Our CEO, Denis Kelly, is once again part of the "Executives with Heart" group, networking with other leaders and companies to increase participation and fundraising for this important cause.
We're proud to celebrate the incredible officers at a site in Kingsport, TN, who Regional Manager Ralph Nemo recognized for their exceptional service! First, we want to commend the heroic actions of Shift Supervisor David Morrow, PT Supervisor Steve Goettl, and Officers Leucio Pacelli and Logan Gilliam. This team demonstrated incredible composure and swift action by immediately calling EMS and providing crucial assistance to a fellow officer suffering a severe allergic reaction. Additionally, a huge shout-out goes to Earl Sprinkle, Alex Bradley, and Amy Poindexter. Their dedication to teamwork in covering opening shifts and providing outstanding customer service is a shining example of our commitment to excellence. We appreciate the dedication you show to the client, your team, and Sunstates. #EmployeeRecognition #Security #SecurityTeam #SecurityServices #SecurityCompany
Executive leaders recently toured sites across the Nashville region. The first stop was a large manufacturing and distribution center in Huntsville, AL, where they met the team and recognized their constant engagement and readiness to assist site employees and visitors. Pictured are Senior VP of Operations Ryan Moran, Officer Desiri Foushee, Regional Manager Vinny Gaetano, Site Manager Ashley Judge, and COO Robert Rogalski. Back in Nashville, Ryan visited a downtown high-rise and met with Shift Lead Calvin Jarrett and Officer Robert McCallum. These two have been at this same site since joining our team and do a fantastic job setting a welcoming tone. Ryan also caught up with Site Supervisor John Johnson working at a distribution center outside the city. He transferred from our Memphis team, and was recently praised by the client's local management for being an effective leader. Great work everyone!

We take a hands-on approach to leadership, with our management team engaging directly with employees in the field. This commitment to being on-site helps us build relationships and offer support while also sharing important updates on company news, training initiatives, policy changes, and industry insights. Our quarterly meetings for site leaders further reinforce this effort, ensuring everyone stays connected and informed. Here are some photos from recent regional and site meetings. Top is the Orlando team, which was led by Regional Manager Travis Miller and attended by Regional Director Michael Necolettos. Last week in Charlotte, NC, our training department, regional management, site staff, and local police held a joint training session. The goal was to explain the protocol for activating the panic button, which dispatches CMPD. This training helped museum staff feel more confident about contacting the police when a situation arises. By reinforcing the partnership between museum staff, Sunstates Security, and CMPD, we are working to ensure a safer and more secure environment for everyone. Excellent work, team. We also extend a huge thank you to the CMPD for their assistance. Kudos to our team members from the San Francisco Region who both completed their Tier One of the Leadership Candidate Program! This program empowers Sunstates Security employees to develop new skills and reach their career goals, directly supporting the company's philosophy of promoting from within. Congratulations! Account Manager Colby Diez has been with Sunstates for just under a year and has already proven to be a great asset. He started as a site lead at one location and was quickly promoted to account manager of a large manufacturing site in Santa Clara. We look forward to Colby's future with Sunstates. Photographed with him is Regional Manager Jeffery Keaty. Officer Melissa Paredes, a valuable team member for over a year and a half, has also completed Tier One of the LCP. She excels in a unique environment, protecting produce fields for our client. This has provided her with several unique training courses, making her a reliable resource. We truly appreciate all her hard work.
Ryan met Robert Littlejohn during a SMARRT deployment to a site near St. Louis, MO, where Robert was assisting with tornado damage.
