History, technology, innovation, and you will meet and work alongside some incredibly talented and gifted people.

      Cons

Since John Stankey implemented the RTO mandate, the culture has become incredibly rigid, moving at burnout speed. There's a lot to appreciate at AT&T, but it's hard to reconcile with the new corporate culture and the openly hostile culture toward employees. For anyone who has been with AT&T for more than 10 years, we all remember how much of an employee-centric culture it once was, and to see how that has changed is disheartening. P.S. If you want to know a little more about John Stankey, look up the Business Insider article where he divulges the horrible results of the 2024 employee survey and how he then doubles down on his "I don't care what my employees say" attitude. Your experience as an employee will vary depending on your management chain. The organization/management chain I came from was incredible until it wasn't. AT&T brought in new leadership, many of whom had poor track records, including big, but failed Wall Street banks and investment firms, and they openly told teams they didn't add value to the organization and that we could be replaced by new hires in India. With that said, others I worked with regularly in my organization, but who had a different VP tower, would say how much they loved their management and how supportive it was. The current trend in the Chief Security Organization is a move to Charlotte, NC; otherwise, you may be replaced by someone in India. If you do get hired and are lucky to have a supportive leadership structure, I think you will be happy. AT&T has great benefits, tuition reimbursement, and tons of free ways to learn new things-LinkedIn Learning and many others, including AT&T's proprietary learning applications. Tuition reimbursement is very real, from undergraduate to postgraduate degrees (Ph. D.S are a little tricky, but I imagine that's true at any company).

      Pros

Pay is good Team is amazing and really look out for you Benefits are great including tuition reimbursement, health insurance etc

      Cons

Sometimes goals are unrealistic depending on the location, however the job is rewarding.

      Business outlook

      Pros

Great training, good benefits, large corperate culture.

      Cons

Unorganized at best. There is a lot that should happen with the proper use of crm technology that just doesn't occur. It's not well run by design, or at least it wasn't during my time there. But it's level 1 management position and upward mobility is there. You are also a part of a large company that has strong benefits, education benefits, and the ability to transfer around the world if you can get an internal match.

      Ok for temporary job

      Retail sales consultant
      Current employee
      San Francisco, CA
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Benefits are nice, tuition reimbursement, good comp scale

      Cons

This whole region is in shambles, management relays pressure they receive on to you. Constantly micromanaged and written up for not meeting certain metrics.

      Good Company

      Lead - project/program management
      Current employee
      Dallas, TX
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Generous time off, Benefits are good (but expensive). Paid caregiver leave. Compensation is reviewed and adjusted against the "market"/competition. Bonus-eligible employees receive the same percentage of the target payout (role specific) based on how the company is doing as a whole. If the company does well financially, the employees receive more bonus payout, and vice-versa. Good lateral or upward mobility (depending on the department). Tuition reimbursement. If attending college, company provides tuition reimbursement and is partnered with a company to help find online degree programs with discounts and will even match your college credit hours with the degree programs at various colleges/universities so that no hours are wasted. Overall company is moving in the right direction since they got rid of the TV service and got "back to the basics" of providing wireless & wireline services. Company embraces non-profits and there is paid volunteer hours, as well as company matching for certain programs.

      Cons

5 days in-office required for most roles with a minimum 40-hour work week. Time/presence reporting is monitored via LAN/Wifi, by video, as well as badge-swiping to ensure compliance with this standard, AI is currently being reviewed for implementation to replace un-needed resources (as with most employers) and reduce company costs. Employees who are laid off are given a severance package (depending on their role) based on the amount of time spent at the company. Company is centralizing all operations from 2 hub locations (ATL & Dallas), whereas most other locations are given relocation mandates to one of those two hub locations.

Good training and pay, but tough advancement hurdles

      Electronic technician
      Current employee

      Pros

Training, Competitive Salary, Benefits such as Tuition Assistance. The company fully paid my tuition excluding textbooks which is a great deal. Because of this benefit I get to work part-time as a professor.

      Cons

Advancement is difficult if you are not in a protected group, Union is a joke. Health benefits re astronomically high.

      Cons
