      Business outlook

      Pros

      Pay was decent and weekly.

      Cons

Very few opportunities for promotion, weird work schedule practices, very little support and flexibility when working remotely, and very high turnover

      Hard to work here

      L4 support
      Current employee
      Clintonville, WI
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Work from home is good, autonomy is encouraged

      Cons

Low pay, hard to find opportunities, very hard to get promoted, culture that makes you work at the next level to get promoted so you are always doing more work than you are paid for

Good starting point for big companies/tech, nothing past that

      Program manager
      Current employee
      Tempe, AZ
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Fast-paced learning, data availability, breadth of areas to learn & acquire skills in

      Cons

Headed into day 2, toxic culture, no WLB, too many office politics, limited upward mobility, siloed teams

      Not for AV Technician

      Av support engineer
      Current employee
      Arlington, VA
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

      Very very relaxed dress code.

      Cons

Heavily micro and macro managed. Leadership do not have an AV background, no structure, no clear career path, promotion process is extremely difficult with several barriers, culture is very clickish, people are not very friendly. I could go on, but this is by far the worst job I have ever had (to sum it up)

      1

      Poor work culture

      System development engineer
      Current employee
      Hyderābād
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Good compensation, salary on time, good work life balance, great people

      Cons

Toxic work culture, favoritism, poor management, less promotion opportunities, layoff because over diversified

      2

Not the best, not the worst

      Anonymous employee
      Former employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Friendly colleagues Competitive salaries if hired externally Plenty of resources/trainings/specific courses if you're interested to develop your skills or learn new ones Easy to apply internally or refer candidates

      Cons

Almost all departments work in chaos mode (too many tools for too many different things, no accountability and a general lack of documentation) - this is 'excused' by the Day 1 mentality. Almost no real support as a new hire (unless you constantly ask for it) No real chances of promotion for L2-L5s Big disadvantage if you apply internally - the compensation is considerably smaller than if you're hired externally No transparency for yearly plans and a total lack of financial planning from higher management (which of course leads to no opportunities for promotion, attrition and a ridiculous increase in compensation) Useless benefits

      Good pay, bad culture

      Senior manager, operations
      Current employee
      London, England
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Salary, career growth, benefits, flex working

      Cons

slow promotions, bad perks, work life balance

      amazon job

      Warehouse fulfillment center associate
      Former employee
      Natoma, KS
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Competitive Pay and Benefits: Amazon often offers competitive wages, especially for entry-level positions. Benefits such as health insurance, 401(k) plans, and stock options are also available for full-time employees. Career Growth Opportunities: Amazon has a vast array of departments and positions. Employees have opportunities to transition within the company, often with chances for career development and internal promotions.

      Cons

High Pressure and Intense Workload: Amazon is known for having a fast-paced and demanding work environment, which can lead to high stress levels. Many employees report long hours, tight deadlines, and significant pressure to meet performance goals. Work-Life Balance Issues: Especially in certain roles (like warehouse or corporate positions), work-life balance can be challenging. Some employees report that the workload and expectations make it difficult to maintain a personal life.
