The flexible hours, and hiring process was very streamlined.

      Cons

terribly low pay, not at all reflecting the cost of living. you will need a second job.

      Good for short time employment.

      Customer service associate
      Former employee
      New York, NY
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

The hiring process was fast and smooth. I believe that if you like customer service then a career truly can be made here. After all there is a true opportunities.

      Cons

I would say for me the cons was that I was unfortunate that this job arrived at a bad time. This job doesn’t really give space for a healthy life and work balance. And if you are unlucky to meet with a bad atmosphere the environment can quickly turn toxic. But that if as I say simply if you are unlucky. My store was constantly short and thievery was high so it was stressful.

      The worst place to work

      Certified pharmacy technician
      Current employee
      San Antonio, TX
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

      Easy hiring process, some benefits

      Cons

      Awful culture, understaffed, toxic team

      Poor Communication

      Pharmacy technician
      Former employee
      Wichita, KS
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Pay and benefits are alright, management is good some places but bad others, the job isn’t too hard, the worst part is dealing with insurance which just takes time to learn.

      Cons

Management is terrible at communicating, hiring managers over hire and new hires are lied to about possible hours, management will try to put you on an on-call kind of situation. Expect only a couple hours notice when a shift is available and only a 2-3 a week.

      Get a better management

      Certified pharmacy technician
      Former employee
      Dallas, TX
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

You learn a lot of skills by interacting with patients and resolving problems; it's a satisfying experience..

      Cons

working overtime, hiring process takes long time, under-staffed.

Good to get experience in the field. Frustrating otherwise.

      Pharmacy technician
      Current employee
      New York, NY
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

If youre like me and wish to go further into the medical field, this position is great to give you a bit of experience. Gives you a baseline, albeit simplified, understanding of how medical billing works. Also lets you gain baseline knowledge on medications.

      Cons

Can easily feel like a glorified cashier at times. But the worst is this, Corporate is always pushing out new updates to their rx processing system that 90% of the time makes verifying and filling scripts a longer process with no added patient safety benefits. The hardware we use and the proprietary rx software is running on shoestrings. The amount of times that the software itself has gotten in the way of me doing my job, by way of being incredibly slow, locking up on me, or just straight up crashing, is too much to count. Top this off with Corporate constantly finding ways to cut tech and pharmacist hours while piling up more work for those who remain, you get people who really care about the work they are doing being left frustrated and easily burnt out. This is a recipe for disaster, I can easily see major filling mistakes being on the rise from this.

      Pros

Amazing team and onboarding, pretty easy interview process as the manager is loking to give new people a chance. Evenly distributed workload.

      Cons

Some tasks are learnt as they come which lead to a delay but that is just the nature of the work.
