How do employees feel about Heartland Dental's policy around taking breaks?

Long hours, lunch breaks were scheduled but never promised, the more you know the more you work and the more responsibilities you have. Assistants are not taken seriously even when you’re the first person they call for clinical support, maintenance, scheduling, orders and so on. Hygienist are put on a pedestal because of the money they can bring in and are always shown more appreciation than the dental assistants and business assistants. They will not help with anything outside of their schedule but will still be praised in meetings, special occasions for birthdays and high priced gifts. Assistants can expect a gift card or dollar gifts. You can be the most knowledgeable, teamwork driven, hard worker and still be treated so poorly and unprofessionally. In the end if you’re not one of the favorites no one will stand up for you when the favorites come after you including the office manager who is at the head of it all. You can try to go over their head but it will just be reported right back to them.

Pay is mediocre Ridiculous metrics which force you to rush potential patients through the appointment process. “Fluid lunch and break times” which means they can change it as they please without telling you. You just have to hope you notice it. Not sure why several hourly shifts are available yet lunch & breaks are fluid. Makes no sense.
