Pros
Flight benefits were decent if you could find non-crowded flights to guarantee a seat.
Cons
My onboarding experience was so bad that I left the company after just a few months. First, no one could tell me what I was supposed to be doing. Then, no one could tell me where to find information on benefits, new hire training, or any of the typical things you look for as a new hire. I was basically dumped in a cubicle and left alone until a meeting started. When I offered my two weeks notice, it was accepted. However, in my next meeting, when I announced my departure, my skip-level manager loudly announced to the whole team “Actually, today will be your last day.” To top it off, my manager made me drive to her house to return my computer and equipment - she didn’t arrange any boxes to be sent to me, or allow me to return to the office. This is Southwest’s legendary culture, folks.
