I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at AECOM (Rocky Hill, CT) in Oct 2015
Interview
I had a meeting with three people from management in the local office. They were very friendly and did a good job of creating a low-stress atmosphere. They spent some time telling me about the company, and seemed genuinely interested in hearing about my experience and qualifications rather than trying to trip me up with infamous 'interview questions'.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
One question they asked was for a general description of the geology program at my school, what I liked most and least about it, and how I feel it prepared me for a career in the environmental and geological sciences.
I had a single interview following standard procedure and questions with three technical specialists from the company. It was ~45 mins long and conducted on Microsoft teams. I was not asked any specific technical questions, mostly HR style questions and discussing my previous experiences and skill set.
