Interview
Did a phone review with the HR and then proceeded to a language test. Scored Senior Expert level and got an in person interview. I thought the interview went well and my skill set matched what they were looking for. They said they would be in touch the next week, but I never heard back from them!

Interview
Did a phone interview with HR intern, who seemed interested enough in my application to move forward to an online translation test. Positive result of this first test led to an on-site test. The second test even seemed a lot easier than the online test, but results were not apparently not good enough. However, the HR language head who called me up to communicate these results also indicated doubts about the accuracy of that result, so they decided to schedule a 3rd test at an alternative site. In comparison to the first two tests, each of which consisted of one multi-paragraph passage that took about 40 minutes to an hour to complete max (comfortably within the allotted time), the third test had a 2-hour time limit and consisted of 6 exercises. Only the first two exercises on par with the earlier exams, while the next two were quite a bit harder, and the last was on a completely off-the-wall topic. I didn't know that company was branching out into literary publishing, because that's what the designer of this test seemed to be favoring. In sum, I had 1/3rd or less of the time I had on the first tests to complete the third test, the content of which was insuperably difficult. The entire process, from initial phone interview to final exam result, lasted nearly two months, which seems to contradict the sense of urgency in their job advertising.
