I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at ALDI (Bathgate, Scotland) in June 2017
Interview
I got an email about two weeks after applying asking me to pick between two time slots to have a group assessment. The earliest one was about two weeks away. I got a follow up email telling me exactly which door to enter at the warehouse. For the group assessment, there was 22 people there and I was the only female. We had to go round the group and introduce ourselves. Then we were just told more about the role and the shifts they had available, and then we had a tour round the warehouse and finished with any questions the group had about the role. There were no group activities in mine, which made it hard to stand out, so people made sure to ask a lot of questions at the end.
Lengthy application form online heard back within the week to invite for an assessment centre this had around 25 people present. Consisted of a tour of the warehouse then a basic maths and logic test. Within a week next step was invite to an interview 1 on 1 nothing to heavy just asked how you think you Will fit in and a general chat on your employment history. Called with jon offer 3 days later. Quite a drawn out process but I'm guessing it weeds out the time wasters and people without basic common knowledge.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How do you see yourself fitting in a warehouse enviroment.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at ALDI (Swindon, Wiltshire, South West England, England) in July 2024
Interview
Applied online, was sent invitation to attent a group assessment the following week. As per the invitation, the assessment was between 5.00 pm and 6.00 pm, but started late and finished at 6.30 pm. I didn't like the manager's attitude and the spent most of the time going through a presentation and saying you need to achieve this and that. Definitely not a group assessment; instead to identify who was going to do as instructed.
