I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ALDI in May 2022
Interview
Very long online application form, 5 questions to answer in detail. Then once you get past that stage there is a video interview (you have to film yourself answering interview questions) they get sent off. Then once you get past that, there is a in-store interview with the store manager. They walk you around the shop and you have to answer questions about what might be wrong with it. Then finally there is an interview with the area manager. They will ask you basic interview questions. So it is a four stage application process just for a retail job.

Question 1
"Tell me about yourself" "Tell me what you know about ALDI" "Why do you want to work for ALDI?" "Describe a time in which you helped a customer"
Long and unnecessary with 4 rounds of interviews. One online then another 3 in store around a table with all the other candidates. It was pleasant but very long winded and I took another job in the time it took to get to the final interview

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at ALDI (Maynooth) in Oct 2025
Interview
Online interview through their website. You have about 3 days to complete it. Every answer is recorded and you can't redo the recording. There was 4 questions. The timer counts you down for each question (about 20 second). The frustrating part is it only gave me 15 seconds to answer each question.

Give an example of good customer service that you have performed or seen someone else do?
