      Risk Analyst Interview

      3 Mar 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Naperville, IL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at ALDI (Naperville, IL)

      Interview

The interview was standard for the most part. What wasn't standard was the rudeness of the "senior risk analyst". I interviewed with both the hiring manager and the "senior risk analyst". I am putting her title in quotations because she shouldn't have earned that title just based on her attitude. Never have I interviewed with someone who was not only LATE to the interview, but she spent the first 5 mins reviewing my resume for the first time and then proceeded to tell me why I was a terrible fit for the role for almost half the interview. She bad mouthed other departments and former colleagues stating how they weren't as dedicated as she was since they would take time off at month/quarter end and that is something she would never do. I wanted to disconnect right then and I tried to be nice for the next 45 minutes since I already took time away from work for this tomfoolery. The manager let it slip that they have been trying to back fill this position for a long time and at times the "senior risk analyst" has been the only person on the team. Considering how well this position pays (based on the recruiter range) clearly the cause of not being able to retain or hire people is your "senior risk analyst".
