Filling out resume paperwork in the office before speaking with a recruiter. Not extremely helpful for an entry-level STEM major looking for a decent-paying job, but would definitely be helpful if you are desperate for work and willing to accept lower pay (average of $15 per hour).
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Aerotek (Troy, MI) in July 2016
Interview
They found my resume and contacted me. I went in for an interview. They called several times a day for more information and references. They called all my references. After a week, they claimed there was no job and it was all a mistake. I suspect it was some sort of con.

First interviewed by a former employer of the company. Received a call a second time from another employee but no job opportunity. My resume needed some work but they just told me that my application is being screened.
