🚀 My Amazon Interview Experience
Recently, I had the opportunity to go through the hiring process at Amazon, and it was an insightful and growth-filled journey!
Here’s how it unfolded:
Round 1: Initial Screening
A short screening round to understand my background and alignment with the role.
Round 2: Online Assessment (OA)
1️⃣ Coding Section – 2 questions based on data structures and algorithms
2️⃣ Work Simulation Scenario – testing alignment with Amazon’s leadership principles.
3️⃣ Personality Assessment – Evaluating cultural fit and alignment with core values.
I successfully cleared the OA round and moved ahead to the interviews.
Round 3: Technical Interview 1
1️⃣ Grid problem
2️⃣ String problem
3️⃣ Resume-based discussions
✅ I cleared this round and moved forward to the next stage.
Round 4: Technical Interview 2
1️⃣ Graphs & System Design concepts
2️⃣ Tree DP problem (Dynamic Programming)
3️⃣ Discussions on Amazon Leadership Principles, DSA fundamentals, OOPs, and resume-based questions
✨ Even though I couldn’t make it to the final stage, this journey sharpened my problem-solving skills and gave me invaluable insights into Amazon’s high hiring standards - a learning curve I’ll carry forward into future opportunities.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Amazon Leadership Principles, DSA fundamentals, OOPs, and resume-based questions
A basic intro and drove into 2 leet code east-medium level questions. One was leetcode balloon and arrow question. The other one is path sum in a tree. The interview was easy but i chocked.
Took and online assessment and after 1 week had 4 interviews in single day. The recruiter was very responsive and helped me understand the interview process. I got the offer!
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Toronto, ON) in Feb 2026
Interview
OA included hackerrank coding test, workplace simulation, and workstyle survery. after that was just final onsite, 4 rounds back to back. 2 algorithm questions, 1 LLD, and 1 bar raiser.
