I applied through other source. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Amazon (Vancouver, BC) in Feb 2016
Interview
Phone screening. After received an outreach letter via LinkedIn and waiting a very lengthy waiting period, I finally went through two phone interviews. The first was great, but the second was incredibly unprofessional, in that it was conducted on a speaker phone via which I could barely hear the interviewers questions. I brought this up at the beginning, and she simply asked me "is this going to be a problem?". Under the circumstances I felt pressured to acquiesce, however the conditions surely made for a sub-par interaction and representation of myself, as I was constantly straining and under extra pressure to simply hear what the interviewer was asking. The questions were very (purposefully) technical and complicated.
At the end of this extremely drawn out experience, I simply got a late email with a one-sentence text along the lines of: 'Sorry we've decide to go elsewhere'.
Employer scheduled me a phone call with me to ask about my general knowledge with cognitive science and my experience in design. and then didn’t invite me for the interview process or give me any follow up information
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What is your understanding of how cognitive knowledge works in collaboration with experience design?
I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon in June 2024
Interview
First there was an online workstyle assessment.
Once you pass that, you'll have a 1 on 1 Interview going over your portfolio and behavioral questions.
Finally it's time for the loop. For me this consisted of a case study presentation, whiteboarding exercise, and 5 interviews focused on behavioral questions.

Question 1
They were mainly "Tell me about a time..." questions.
"Tell me about a time you uncovered a problem for your customer and how did you solve it?"
