Data Center Operations Site Manager Interview

      9 Mar 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Amazon (New York, NY) in Mar 2017

      Interview

First interview was from a recruiter telling me I am already being moved to phase 2 and their are 3 phases total. She walked me through what to expect and study for my next interview. This conversation lasted about 70 min and I think I said 10 words the whole time. A day later I received an email stating who I would be talking to next and it would be very technical and to brush up on amazons diversity, AWS blog and AWS. So for 2 days I stuffed my brain to rehash basics of networking since I was asked what an OSI model was on my first interview. Turns out I didn't need it bc as the first interview told me I should be prepared to answer behavioral type questions using the STAR method and include some of amazons 14 principles. They called right on time and it lasted about 50 min with some good conversation since he and I shared a military background. I feel it went ok but wont know until I get invited to the "loop."
