I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Amazon in Oct 2013
Interview
I've done 1 contract and 2 full time positions phone interviews. All are very similar and straightforward.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
In all of these phone screens, for the most part, they seem to want you to have done a project that is EXACTLY like what their department is doing (as if they can't relate what you have done with what you can do in the future). One interviewer keeps coming back to a work example which I told her I didn't have, but her persistence told me she had troubles checking the boxes on her sheet.
Employer scheduled me a phone call with me to ask about my general knowledge with cognitive science and my experience in design. and then didn’t invite me for the interview process or give me any follow up information

Question 1
What is your understanding of how cognitive knowledge works in collaboration with experience design?
I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon in June 2024
Interview
First there was an online workstyle assessment.
Once you pass that, you'll have a 1 on 1 Interview going over your portfolio and behavioral questions.
Finally it's time for the loop. For me this consisted of a case study presentation, whiteboarding exercise, and 5 interviews focused on behavioral questions.

Question 1
They were mainly "Tell me about a time..." questions.
"Tell me about a time you uncovered a problem for your customer and how did you solve it?"

Interview
1. Application
2. Call from a recruiter
3. Telephonic interview with a hiring manager (stucked here), it was not clear of receiving detailed emails stating how and what to prepare and what the next step in the process is.
