      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Amazon (New York, NY) in Oct 2020

      Interview

There was a lot of primer and work before the interview, as they want to format the interview that aligns with the principals and the responses in the STAR format. The only issue with this is that forces you to add and omit things from your regular dialogue and it takes more practice to organize content and data in a restructured way. As far and the process, it was scheduled and organized very timely. the first interview was using Voice chat and was supposed to be video, but not complaining. There were 2 interviewers, one was silent and I'm sure taking notes, the other was more vocal. Be prepared with the computer science version of architecture, not the cloud linguistics of Azure and AWS, but extra points for mapping your response to AWS services. Know Database , Database read/write patterns, Federation, Routing protocols, tiers web application structure, CDN, CI/CD Blue-Green, RAID and the stuff you would know if you were in a Data Center in 2005

      I interviewed at Amazon

      Interview

2 persons showed up on the second interview, straight from the beginning it was obvious that they don’t want me for so reason, still they dragged for one hour. Then I realised that this is a presale team and they are trying to fish for information about my current company - I work for big 4 bank. Then even though I started to act obviously weird they still kept going. Hilarious. Interviewers great of your current NDA.

I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon (Austin, TX)

      Interview

Pretty lengthy process, scheduled multiple calls and made it to one of the final rounds, ultimately turned it down because there were multiple opportunities where the interviewers showed up late and I don't want to work for someone who doesn't respect my time.

      Question 1

Name a time when a customer had a difficult problem that you needed to solve, how did you overcome this?
