Two phone interviews - one with a recruiter and one with the hiring manager. Both were about an hour long. Even though it was an L&D role, their main focus was using data and reports.

Question 1
How have you used data to inform decisions?
When have you been strategic?
Super structured. STAR based, behavioural questions asking what you did historically in previous roles to solve a situation. Using the past as a predictor of the future. Make sure to give a result to each situation, how it ended up preferably with number based data points supporting your answer.

Question 1
Tell me of a time when you had to make a short term sacrifice to serve a long term goal.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon in Jan 2015
Interview
Numerous phone interviews just to get your foot in the door. Once making it through that process they invite you to the main headquarters for an interview circuit with 6-8 different interviewers in turn. Non-stop questions for 6 solid hours, many repeated with the expectation of varying responses. Focus on their internal leadership values and provide real-life examples for each one. Final two interviews with upper management personnel (need to be sharp at the end so conserve your energy). One slip with them can make or break the opportunity. No reason or explanation provided for refusal or denial of an offer.
