I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Amazon (Boston, MA) in Apr 2021
Interview
Two rounds of 45 min interviews, with several operations managers. They ask you questions that basically involve how you would resolve workplace conflict, and how you have approached and solved difficult situations in the past.
The recruiter originally reached out to me regarding a role in Massachusetts. I indicated that I would be able to relocate, and was asked to rank my top choices for location. I was also asked if I would prefer an earlier offer, or a location of my preference even if the offer came later (which is what I chose.)
The verbal offer was made at the last minute two weeks later, and indicated I would receive more details in two weeks. Two weeks later, I received another email saying I would not receive details for two more weeks. Three weeks after that, (so 5 weeks in total) I finally received my formal offer at 3 AM. I was offered 20,000 less than my requested salary, and 6 hours from home in my last choice of location. So in other words, none of my desires were met and Amazon strung me out for 5 weeks. It was extremely disappointing, and they told me no terms of the offer are negotiable at all. Seriously, just stay away from this company they don't care about their employees.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Talk about a challenging situation that you have had to overcome in the workplace.
Multiple online tests after application, followed by a virtual interview with various staff. Staff did not want to be on camera and did not have many good things to say about working there.
Prior to even speaking to anyone about a possible interview there was a long and lengthy testing required. Really disappointing to finish with no feedback or additional details. I only received an email post test.
I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon (Stamford, CT)
Interview
Extremely unprofessional in my opinion. Talked to 3 different people, all of whom were wearing old sweatshirts and not looking at the camera. As I was sitting on zoom in a suit jacket, did not feel at all a place I would be valued at.
