I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (New York, NY) in Jan 2025
Interview
Had a recruiter call, followed by a one hour phone screening: 30 minutes MLSD style interview, then a LeetCode Hard question. Also review leadership principles. The process felt intense, technical, and challenging throughout.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Just go over the classic MLSD structure to an interview.
Two phone screen interviews
Discussion and deep dive into domain knowledge for both of them, second interview had one coding question in addition about weighted random number generator, then followed by insite loop interview
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
coding question about weighted random number generator
- Coding Round: 1 coding question on Binary Search
- Technical Round: Lots of questions on ML and DL
- Case Study: Related to product development
- Project Discussion: Current project and what are the challenges faced. Also, some of the relevant older projects
Recruiter kept ghosting. Eventually, had an interview scheduled. But interviewer ghosted. Then got back to recruiter, who said they will schedule another interview, but ghosted again. Very unprofessional behavior from such a large firm.
